DIAGONAL helped in organizing the SEMTA – MÉCAMAT Colloquium: "Mechanics across the Scales."
During the "Visit to Porosityc Park", students immersed in the world of metal pores created a virtual visit to a theme park, where attendees discovered the mysteries of the fascinating world of printed materials. We demonstrated how materials deform and break under extreme conditions, such as high-speed impacts. Attendees had the opportunity to see a virtual recreation of the microstructure of printed metallic materials and the effect that these materials could have on a greener world.
Jose Reinoso from the University of Sevilla gives an interview to "La Razón" newspaper, discussing the significance behind research. In the interview, he also speaks about our common project DIAGONAL.
The kick-off meeting of DIAGONAL was held in Seville on April 17. It was a great success.
The UC3M promotes the DIAGONAL project. A great effort of 10 universities and research centers from European, Australian, and American institutions to investigate the fracture mechanisms of Functionally Graded Materials.
